Undergraduate Students
- Summer Undergraduate Program on Energy Research (SUPER) provides undergraduate students with opportunities to work on faculty-mentored, individualized energy research during the summer.
- Mentoring Undergraduates in Interdisciplinary Research (MUIR) provides stipends to full-time Stanford undergraduate students to conduct interdisciplinary environmental research for 10 weeks during the summer.
- Stanford Earth Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SESUR) is a 10-week summer research program for Stanford undergraduates from any area of study who want to learn more about environmental science and the planet we live on.
- The TomKat Center Energy Impact Summer Fellowship is a 8-week summer research program for teams of Stanford undergraduates from any area of study who want to learn about renewable energy and who enjoy working on projects that have tangible social value. Projects change each year. Fellowships are Cardinal-Quarter-eligible.
- Other programs funded by the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education (VPUE). Many Stanford departments and programs sponsor an undergraduate research program that provides financial support for students to work with Stanford professors on faculty-designed research projects.
Graduate and Doctoral Students
- The Stanford Energy Postdoctoral Fellowship brings together the brightest minds in energy from around the world to develop knowledge necessary to realize that vision. Fellows will work with at least two faculty members from different academic departments and interact with other fellows across the energy research spectrum: from science and engineering to policy and economics
- The TomKat Center's Graduate Fellowships provide two years of funding (stipend, tuition, and other research expenses) for Stanford doctoral students performing translational research for sustainable energy or other sustainability challenges.
- The Stanford Impact Labs' Summer PhD Fellowship supports Stanford PhD students to work on solutions-oriented research with faculty and research teams, in partnership with community and policy organizations. The fellowship provides a stipend as well as continuing education, peer support, and mentoring from Stanford Impact Labs staff.
- Fellowships funded by the Vice Provost of Graduate Education, such as the the Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellowship (SIGF) Program and the Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education (EDGE) Doctoral Fellowship Program.
