Shultz Energy Fellowships

The Shultz Energy Fellowships offer a suite of paid, energy-related public service internships within municipal, state, regional and federal agencies in California, Colorado, Utah, and Hawaii to educate Stanford students about the many opportunities to inform and shape critical energy policies.

Schneider Fellows Program

Through the Schneider Fellows program, Stanford students spend a summer or a year working at leading U.S. nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) tackling the world’s economic, environmental, social, and technical challenges associated with harnessing energy resources to deliver energy services.

Stanford National Accelerator Center (SLAC)

As one of 17 Department of Energy national labs, SLAC pushes the frontiers of human knowledge and drives discoveries that benefit humankind. The SLAC Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with stimulating, real-world work experiences based at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI)

The Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI) - Summer Fellowship Program is dedicated to enhancing the understanding and the practice of sustainable finance. The SFI program provides financial support to continuing Stanford graduate students who have secured summer internships with organizations with missions that are aligned with SFI’s focus areas, including Energy Business Innovations. TomKat Grants & Internships

The TomKat energyStartup Summer Internships are paid summer internships in Silicon Valley. Students can apply to three of over 30 opportunities. Note: Only industry-supported energy internships are open to graduate students.

The TomKat Solutions Program provides resources to teams from Stanford to generate and advance solutions to problems that require timely action to avoid irreversible consequences, moving energy and environmental solutions from ideation to impact through the progressing phases of the program.

The TomKat Innovation Transfer Program provides grants for student inventors of sustainable energy technology to empower students to begin to commercialize their sustainable energy ideas.

The TomKat Graduate Fellowships for Translational Research competition is open to advanced Stanford doctoral students (third year and beyond) performing translational research for sustainable energy or other sustainability challenges. These fellowships are meant to support students to pursue innovative research projects beyond the proof-of-concept stage toward impactful applications.
